Hello again!

I went to our capitol city Helsinki a week ago with my friend. We "camped out" at my friends aunt and due to her work schedule we were a bit at her way so I wanted to make a gift. She loves and collects all things african so I made a african head pendant out of fimo. I have made similar before to a dollhouse so I just improved the "design" :D

There is a silver loop-pin pushed in to the head and I looked examples of the face paint out of the internet. The head is about 5 cm.

Hello! I'm totally bad at blogging these days. My only excuse is that I have started my final thesis project at school and need to finish it at this spring. But I will try to balance my life between school and crafts and be more active at blogland :)

So these brooches are made of felt. One of my favorite materials ever :D they have simple safety pin fastening because I don't want to use actual brooch bases to these sort of accessories. I sewed a piece of felt behind the booch and but the pin through it.

Halusin söpöstellä ihan väkisin, joten virkkasin pienen muffinsikoristeisen pussukan, neuloin pehmomuffinsin sekä jokin aika sitten massaillessani nukkiskamaa tein muun mussa tuon pienen massamuffinsin, josta tulee kaulakoru.

Ohje tuohon neulottuun muffinsiin löytyy täältä. Sivusto vaatii rekisteröitymisen, mutta on ilmainen ja sieltä löytyy paljon ohjeita.

Viimeksi kun tilasin suuren käsityölehden, taisi olla viime vuoden alussa, sain tilaajalahjaksi helmipaketin. Pitkään ne pyörivät vain ajatuksissa, sillä siniset helmet ja muutamat erikoishelmet olivat lasia, enkä halunnut niitä tuhlata. Eräällä luokkatoverillani on ihana avaimenperä, jonka hänen äitinsä on antanut. Siitä lahti inspiraatio ryhmitellä näitä omistamiani helmiä kaulakoruksi ja korviksiksi. Nämä edustivat turkoosin kauteni alkua. Joka jatkui tähän kesään. Nyt syksyn tullen huomaan kaipaavani violettia.
